I guess you find the God-is-a-vending-machine theology in all denominations to some extent. This Santa Clause perception of God does not rely on tradition of any sort; it just grows out of nowhere.

And Saturday night, it felt like a good punchline. Then you started to think a little about it, realizing it ought to be the other way around: &quot;Every blessing you pour out I&#039;ll turn back to praise.&quot; (from Blessed Be Your Name)</description>
