Our Father

oktober 16th, 2007

How often, when we think we have reached some level of ‘goodness’, some pinnacle of enlightenment, do we need to crawl back to the cross of Jesus and ask for His forgiveness. Today has been a reminder for me that I’m no better than the rest. (it’s funny how you sometimes come to think such things)

After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
for ever.
Amen.

(Matthew 6:9-13)
